HOW IT WORKS

Photochromic lenses automatically adjust their tint level based on sunlight exposure. They darken in bright sunlight and return to a clear or lightly tinted state in low-light conditions.

The visors contain special molecules that react to UV light. When exposed to sunlight, they change their molecular structure, causing the visor to darken. In the absence of UV light, the visor returns to its original state.

The lifespan depends on use and care. While proper maintenance can extend its performance, the chemical reaction that enables the tinting will naturally fade over time, typically after 1-2 years.

Regulations vary by location. Ensure the photochromic visor meets your local legal requirements for motorcycle helmets.

The transition time varies based on the UV intensity. On average, the visor darkens within 10-30 seconds and clears within 30 seconds to 1 minute when moving to a low-light environment.

Looks Great. Fitment Could be better

It darkens up nice. Not quite a dark a smoke or blacked out visor from the outside, but still looks great on my white helmet. The fitment could be improved upon. I have to be sure to raise the visor from very center and must push exactly straight up/back. If I happen to have any angle when lifting my visor, the left side pops off the helment. Also notice quite a bit of airflow in the helment now compared to the factory visor. Not a bad thing(in fact, it may be a good) when the weather gets hot. But it will definitely be a problem when the temps drop next fall.

Has issue but great customer service

*EDIT* Initial review will follow. After talking with customer service, I have receive fast support on the matter. Although it doesn't change the fitment of this particular product, I will at least give credit to their great customer service.

Fitment wasn't great. Definitely not OEM. The 2 prongs on each side don't align well in their channels while oem ones you can basically push each side in and they will click in place. Photochromic effect is fast but has somewhat of a reddish/purpleish tint to it. you might like it. I don't. The latch that holds the visor in place arrived detached from the visor and looked broken. I could not put it back in place and make it release the visor properly once down.

Photochromatic Excellent, Fitment Terrible!

The Photochromatic aspect of this visor is extremely impressive, works better than I had hoped. However, the fitment to the helmet is terrible with huge gaps in the left and right sides. This allows dirt, debris, and wind straight into your eyes. Not to mention the noise. MAYBE if the shipped it in a box instead of in Plastic bag, not a bubble bag, just a plastic bag the visor would retain it shape and fit better.
