HOW IT WORKS
Photochromic lenses automatically adjust their tint level based on sunlight exposure. They darken in bright sunlight and return to a clear or lightly tinted state in low-light conditions.
The visors contain special molecules that react to UV light. When exposed to sunlight, they change their molecular structure, causing the visor to darken. In the absence of UV light, the visor returns to its original state.
The lifespan depends on use and care. While proper maintenance can extend its performance, the chemical reaction that enables the tinting will naturally fade over time, typically after 1-2 years.
Regulations vary by location. Ensure the photochromic visor meets your local legal requirements for motorcycle helmets.
The transition time varies based on the UV intensity. On average, the visor darkens within 10-30 seconds and clears within 30 seconds to 1 minute when moving to a low-light environment.
We do not guarantee compatibility with OEM anti-fog films. If you need an anti-fog solution, we offer compatible anti-fog films that are designed to work seamlessly with our visors.

I ordered an H31 photochromic shield for my HJC manufactured HD helmet about 3-4 weeks before a group run in June. The shield arrived on the day before I was supposed to set out and, on unpacking, I found it was actually an HJ33 compatible shield and would not fit my bucket. I contacted the company and they responded next day requesting a couple better photos than I had sent so I sent those and received a reasonably quick response indicating they would send out the proper shield and there was no need to return the original.

Fast forward a couple weeks and I received the replacement shield after returning home from my 3000km road trip. The replacement fit quickly and easily to my helmet although raising and lowering was a tad hitchy and stiff at first. After a couple days riding with it, I found the shield operating much more smoothly and the photochromic response to be quite immediate....in fact, perhaps a little too responsive as I found it responding to headlights while riding at night (but not restricting my visibility fortunately).
Suffice it to say, I'm impressed so far and the only remaining test is going be how durable this new shield is.

Love my photochromic visor, very easy installation, and it fit perfectly. Make sure you order the universal anti-fog film and not the one for HJ-31, because you have to pay shipping back to dragon motorsports and a restocking fee, so yeah I didn’t send it back
